Your PTA Elections for the 2017-2018 school year will take place at the General Assembly Meeting – Date – TBD at 6:30PM in the Multi Purpose Room.

This is an incredible opportunity to make a difference in your child’s school. All positions are open for nominations. We encourage you to talk to any current board member if you have questions. We are in need of creative, energetic and dedicated individuals to help make the 2017-2018 school year the best yet! EXECUTIVE BOARD POSITION DESCRIPTIONS

ELECTED POSITIONS

PRESIDENT (president@bryantPTA.com): Acts as the primary liaison between PTA and the school administration and coordinates PTA events with the school’s Principal. Directly oversees officers, chairs, and committees.

1st VP – LEADERSHIP (leadership@bryantPTA.com): Acts as assistant to the President, supervises and coordinates the administration of the PTA; Acts in the President’s place in the event of absence or resignation. Responsible for coordinating FCAT snacks/drinks, PTA documents for First Day Packets, purchases 4th Grade Battle Books, and works with the school’s Social Worker to help meet the needs of Bryant’s families-in-need.

2nd VP – MEMBERSHIP (membership@bryantPTA.com): Responsible for coordinating all activities related to promoting, registering, and retaining PTA memberships. Coordinates 100% PTA Membership classroom parties and membership incentives. Submits nominations for PTA awards.

3rd VP – WAYS & MEANS (waysmeans@bryantPTA.com): Responsible for all fundraising initiatives; Recruits people to chair various fundraisers committees, and provides direction for these committees which may include but not be limited to the following:

Family Partnership
Box Tops for Education
Fall Festival
Golf Tournament
Yearbook
Courtyard Bricks

CORRESPONDING SECRETARY (corsecretary@bryantPTA.com): Coordinates with the school’s Principal and PTA Board for pertinent dates and information, and develops opportunities to place the school’s name, its achievements and activities before the public. Responsible for getting press releases out to the media on school events, writing PTA correspondence (such as letters of appreciation), acts as PTA Historian and manages PTA Display Board in Front Office.

RECORDING SECRETARY (secretary@bryantPTA.com): Creates meeting agendas, notifies Board Members and Membership of regularly scheduled meetings, and records and reports meeting minutes, in accordance with Bylaws. Sorts PTA mail and distributes to appropriate party. Establishes and manages the Nominating Committee and the Bylaws/Standing Rules Committee.

TREASURER (treasurer@bryantPTA.com): Responsible for managing all PTA budgets and financials, through the use of good accounting and in accordance with Bylaws. A background in accounting is required.

NON-ELECTED POSITIONS (STANDING COMMITTEES)

PROGRAMS COORDINATOR (programs@bryantPTA.com): Recruits people to chair event committees and guides these chair people in the planning of school programs. These program committees may include but not be limited to the following:

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR (volunteers@bryantPTA.com): Acts as the coordinator of all volunteers for various school activities; Responsible for recruiting, retaining, matching volunteers with activities and recognizing volunteers for their efforts. Tracks volunteer hours, nominates/recognizes Volunteer of the Month, provides direction to Home Room Parents, compiles volunteer email list.

DAD’S CLUB (dadsclub@bryantPTA.com): Responsible for coordinating special projects to benefit the school, including grounds beautification. Participates in the Veteran’s Day Celebration and promotes/maintains the Veteran’s Memorial Court.

WEBMASTER (admin@bryantPTA.com) Manages and updates PTA website, Facebook & Twitter accounts, and all PTA email accounts.

HOSPITALITY (hospitality@bryantPTA.com): Together with her team, plans, organizes and facilitates food, beverage, set-up/clean-up, and decorations of various PTA events, including:
